Jewellery box in American walnut (320mm wide, 240mm deep, 133mm high).

Solid walnut box with burr walnut veneer. Two pull-out trays in maple with black felt bottoms, there is an open space below the trays. The hinges are designed to hold the lid at 95 degrees thus negating the use of a chain. The four sides are shaped with a curved sole hand plane before applying the burr veneer. The Trays and box carcase are jointed with hand-cut dovetails.
