Solid mahogany box with lacewood veneer. Two pull-out trays with black baize bottoms, there is an open space below the trays. The hinges are designed to hold the lid at 95 degrees thus negating the use of a chain. The four sides are shaped with a curved sole hand plane before applying the veneer.
